MED 226:Medicine II

SUR 226:Surgery  II

This is an introductory module in the Certificate course in Orthopaedic and Trauma Medicine course. It requires 60 hours to complete. That is, it is a 6 credit hours. PCH 226:Pediatrics and Child Health  II

This is a continuation  module in the diploma in Clinical Medicine and surgery  . It requires 60 hours to complete. That is a 6 credits. This course enables you to apply knowledge, skills and attitude in diagnosis and management in childhood diseases.  cardiovascular disorders:- congenital heart diseases - classification, presentation and management: aetiology, pathophysiology, presentation, diagnosis and treatment of Rheumatic fever, rheumatic heart diseases, infective endocarditis , myocarditis, pericarditis, and congestive cardiac failure. Genital urinary system disorders:- diagnose and manage congenital urethral valves, polycystic kidneys, nephroblastoma, neuroblastoma, aetiology, pathophysiology, presentation, differentials, investigations complications management of urinary tract infection, nephrotic syndrome,  glomerulonephritis and renal failure. gastro hepatobiliary system disorders; diagnose and manage congenital conditions- cleft lip/palate, TOF, pyloric stenosis, hirchsprung's disease, mickels diverticulum, acute intussusception; diarrhoeal disease; Hepatitis, cholecystitis. Haematological and lymphoreticular disorders;- diagnosis,  management of anaemia, bleeding disorders, lymphomas, leukaemias; manage blood transfusion reactions.

CHE 223:Community Health  III
